Description
This art poster is a heartfelt tribute to Shaheed General Shabeg Singh Ji, a true hero and martyr. A distinguished army officer, General Shabeg Singh Ji served the nation with unparalleled bravery and dedication during his military career. Later, he devoted himself to the service of his faith, standing courageously to protect the sanctity of Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) and Akal Takht Sahib.
During the tragic events of Operation Blue Star from June 1 to 6, 1984, when the Indian Army launched an assault on Darbar Sahib, General Shabeg Singh Ji played a pivotal role in defending the holy shrine. He fought valiantly to uphold the pride of Akal Takht Sahib, safeguard the faith of the Sikh community, and stand for the rights of humanity. Despite overwhelming odds, his unwavering commitment and leadership inspired countless others. Ultimately, he attained martyrdom while defending his Guru’s house.
The Sikh Panth will forever remember this true warrior-soldier for his sacrifice and courage. The attack may be in the past, but the pain remains fresh in our hearts. This artwork serves as a reminder of his legacy and the resilience of the Sikh community. Never forget 1984.
