Description

“This artwork is dedicated to the national hero Bhai Deep Sidhu, honoring his struggle and sacrifice. This warrior fulfilled his duty, and now it’s the turn of Punjabis to uphold his vision. Deep Sidhu was someone I never met, though I deeply wished to meet him, hand him this artwork personally, but that wish remained unfulfilled.

There was something magnetic about him; when he passed away, it felt as if a close one had left us. His words were so profound that anyone who heard them was deeply moved. This warrior awakened the dead conscience of many and was even called a traitor by some. But today, even those who labeled him a traitor must have tears in their eyes.

Many criticized Deep Sidhu, but I want to ask them one thing: Did you ever hear him speak harshly or use offensive words? His only weapon was the microphone in his hand, which the government treated as a threat. His words seemed rebellious because he tried to awaken the conscience of Punjabis and taught them to speak up for their rights.

Punjabis, this warrior had dreams that we could fulfill. We may not be able to become Deep Sidhu ourselves, but we can surely keep his light shining bright.”
